A Few Words About Us

Our Story

Although the Limbu caste has been coming to this place since time immemorial, the date 26 July 1925. Ma late Maitsing Kerung Thegem held a meeting in his own residence, Dungra Basti Kalebung on the Limbu language, culture and script as well as the upliftment of the Limbu caste and formed the committee of the Limbu Sabha on that day only.

It is no exaggeration to say that the establishment of this Chumlung Sabha was a first milestone for the entire world-wide Limbu community.

However, although the program of this Chumlung Sabha is limited locally, the people who organized the Chumlung Sabha are not living in this world, but they are living forever in the Limbu caste.
